Cousins Securities Pty Ltd (CS) is looking to set-up a second overseas real estate office and development arm in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Expansion out of Thailand into Cambodia will give CS a far greater exposure in the region.
"Cambodia's open door investment policy for Thai companies assists greatly in this decision. We have been hamstrung for several years with the political situation in Thailand and have not been able to move forward at the rate we would have liked. Cambodia is a hive of activity, growing very rapidly in Asia. Many Australian & overseas companies are moving to Cambodia to set-up ‘shop'. Tourism is now demanding a higher standard of accommodation and the commercial sector is requiring office space to facilitate the growth of Phnom Penh.
